We chose to source our t-shirts from Koa Goods, as they are founded in NZ and cultivated in Melbourne. A nod to both our homes in NZ and AUS.
Koa Goods are also:
Carbon Neutral - all of their products have the option of being 100% carbon neutral and can be produced using renewable energy.
Fairtrade Certified - they have Fairtrade certified suppliers available.
Sustainable Fabrics - all their fabrics are either organic or recycled and made with the planet in mind.
Also a huge BONUS is they plant a tree with every purchase!
Reforestation: Koa is in partnership with Eden Reforestation Projects, and for every garment ordered, trees are planted in areas of severe deforestation and poverty such as Haiti, Ethiopia, Madagascar, Central America and Indonesia. This not only helps restore forests in these regions, but also employs people in local villages helping to bring them out of poverty. Currently they are planting mangroves in some vital part of Antsanisia, Madagascar. Learn more about their reforestation project here.
