growth can be painful.
Change can be slow
Growth can be painful and it’s not linear
But quitting and giving up before you’ve even really started doesn’t get you any closer to your dreams or speed up the process 🔥
How many times have you started something maybe in your health journey or business and then QUIT because you weren’t seeing results fast enough?
I know I’ve quit before because I got scared that it wouldn’t work, that I’d put in all this effort and for what? It wasn’t working and then I’d felt like I’d failed, so better to quit while you’re ahead right? I was scared people would look at me as a failure ...
And we are so accustomed to instant gratification these days, we want things NOW and truth bomb: some things take time. Businesses or people you look up to and are comparing to right now, most are not overnight successes even though that’s how we perceive it. Many have been working at this, developing themselves, healing, learning and unlearning for years before it finally lands. Remember we cannot compare our day 1, to someone else’s 555.
What I’ve learnt is harder than failing or quitting, is repeating a cycle over and over again because of not being open to try a different way and staying in the same place, stagnant. When I could have just continued to show up and be consistent even when it felt like nothing was shifting
The next time you want to quit on yourself on a run, trying meditation, starting up your journaling practice, in your business! Ask yourself why?
Because growth doesn’t feel in alignment sometimes, it’s uncomfortable and painful. But that right there, when it’s feeling like nothing is going your way is where the breakthroughs happen! Xx
